RRB ALP, Technician (Group D) – Total Vacancy Increased to 64371, Read Notification

Railway Recruitment Board has doubled the total number of Group C posts. According to the new railway notification, now the total posts of ALP, technician has been increased to 64371. Out of these 27795 candidates will be recruited for Assistant Loco Pilot and 36576 for Technician.

A few days before the commencement of the examination, the Government of India had announced to increase the vacancy of ALP and Technician in the Railway Recruitment. Railway Minister Mr. Piyush Goyal also tweeted that the total number of vacancies would increase by 100%.

Let me tell you that the RRB Recruitment Form had issued a notification on 1st August 2018 in which the Railways had said that the number of Group C posts could be 60000.

RRB ALP, Technician Vacancy Increased Notification

On Friday, i.e., on September 22, the Railways issued notifications of updated vacancies. According to the official notification published at website of Indian Railway www.indianrailways.gov.in, the total vacancies of ALP and Technician have been increased from 26,502 to 64371.

Prior to the total 26,502 vacancies, there were 17,673 posts of ALP and 8,829 Technicians. Now there are 27795 in ALP and 36576 vacancies in Technician. Railway has the right to increase or decrease the number of posts at any time.

The Department conducted the computer based recruitment exams in these positions from 9th August to 4th September. A total of 47 lakh candidates had applied from all over the country. The CBT exam was held in three shifts every day. Computer-based examination was held for the first time for Group C posts.

RRB is now taking recruitment examinations on Group D posts. RRB Group D admit card for the recruitment examination is being issued every day by 4 days in advance.

Candidates have given opportunity to choose RRB and Railways / Unit and post

After publishing information on the increase in the number of posts, the Railway has published another notification. Accordingly, the candidates have also given the option to choose RRB, to choose the railway / unit and post.

Very soon the direct link will be available on related official website to choose RRB and to choose railway region and post.

It is compulsory to select railway units and posts for all the candidates who have participated in the First Stage CBT Exam.

Candidates will not be shortlisted in Second Stage CBT, who will not submit the preference of Railway Job and Post.

The official notification clearly states that the candidates should choose only those posts for which they are eligible. After the preference submit, they will not be able to be replaced again.

CEN 01/2018 – Fee will be refunded

The Railway Recruitment Board has issued notices regarding fees refund of candidates of RRB and Technicians (CEN-01/2018 ALP & Technicians) recruitment examination conducted between August 9 and September 4. Railway recruitment boards have given candidates the opportunity to confirm or change their bank account details on their websites.

Candidates will be selected on the basis of Computer Based Test, Computer Based Aptitude Test and Document Verification in the first and second stage. This time, choosing the wrong answer in the examination will be negative marking too in the first and second stage examination. However, there will be no negative marking in the Aptitude Test. To pass the exam, a candidate must score a minimum of 42 marks. It has been decided for candidates of all categories.
