RRB Gorakhpur is a very big railway region in which a lot of posts are vacant. Department has decided to release RRB Gorakhpur Recruitment 2018/2019 drive to recruit more than 4500 candidates for ALP and Group D posts. Advertisement for these posts is expected to be published in February 2018. This news has been confirmed by the Railway Recruitment Board by the newspaper. In fact, the RRB has come up with the goal of filling up 2.5 lakh vacancies in all the Railway Regions till 2019. First 1.5 vacant posts will be filled in 2018. This will be a big job event because the Railways will organize biggest online examinations for the first time. Applications have not been requested for so many posts in the history so far. Crores of candidates will apply for these vacant posts. This is why it is considered the world’s largest online exam.
Latest Updates on CEN 02/2018 Exam
After completion of the application process, the candidates were waiting for the date of examination which is now over.
According to the board’s notification, the 1st stage CBT Level 1 Post examination is starting from 17th September to 18th October. The city, date and shift information of examination details will be given on 9th September. Admit card of computer based test will be released 4 days before the examination. Candidates will be able to download their Admit Card from 13th September 2018. To know about the shift of the exam, you will have to go to the Railway Board Gorakhpur website i.e. www.rrbgkp.gov.in.
Before the exam, the link to the mock test for practice will be released on Monday ie 10th September. This mock test is being done so that the candidates can understand how they can answer questions through computer. This time the most important thing about this test is that it will be a computer-based examination. The examination time deadline has been set for 90 minutes. PWD students will be given 30 minutes more to complete the paper.

The Railway Department has made some major changes in the application process and selection process, whose information is given below.
Online Application: The first change is related to the application process. No hard-hard copy / online application will be accepted from now onwards. Railways have closed the old system and from now on only online applications will be accepted through website of concerned RRB
Adhaar Number Verification: The second change relates to the Aadhaar Card. Now the Aadhaar number of all the candidates will be verified at the time of online application registration
Online Examination: From this year the Railway Recruitment Board will select candidates through Computer Based Test (CBT).

Application Fee & Refund
- General / OBC: Rs. 500/-
- SC/ST: Rs. 250/-
Railway Department Gorakhpur collected fees from the candidates and now board decided to refund this fee. For this, the candidate has to go to the department official website and confirm bank account details. Railways have issued a new notification and are giving the opportunity to confirm or change the bank details.
All candidates should check their name, bank IFSC code, account number so that the application fee can be refunded. In addition you can also change your bank details. Candidates can confirm or change their bank details by 1 October.
Fare will be refunded to General category candidates by 80% and SC/ST category candidates will get refund of 100% fee. The Railway will refund the full fees of the reserved category candidates and 400 rupees from the General candidates’ fees.
